On Valentines Day 2011 I was asked to play at a place I’ve wanted to play in ever
since I first saw the refurbished room: St.George’s Hall Concert Room. Wow what a place!
I was honoured to play for the Launch of Liverpool Discovers with my 4-piece Gypsy Jazz-inspired band. We had such a lovely time thanks to the organisers and the Chandelier!!! It was also great to show my band off, which I’d like to do more of.
If you peer closely at the photo above you can see me doing my bit on stage! All the sculptures and portraits are now installed and already creating a great deal of interest from the passing public. The printed trail map is available from Visitor Centres and the volunteer helpers at the trail installations.
See what else you can Discover at their main website: www.liverpooldiscovers.co.uk.
This is the title track from Pele’s debut album. I get a feature and a mention
at the end!

exhibition at Liverpool’s Walker Gallery.
“A brand new and exclusive piece of original programming for bandinabox.tv.
Busker is a new show where two musicians go head to head against one another
on the streets to see who can earn the most money in one hour as
a busker. In this show the contestants – Pete Murphy from Fidel
Afro & Helen Maher, a singer songwriter who plays the accordian –
brace the cold to play in Liverpool. Watch the video to see who
won – it was a very close-run thing!”

Bickerstock was lovely! We played a great set and the audience was wonderful.
I’d go so far as to say we had fans!! Click HERE to see a video.
